Welcome to Mary E.Branch Heritage Center

Welcome to Mary E.Branch Heritage Center Recreation Center!

To Serve as a central facility for new and expanded programs to enhance the quality of life for low and moderate income families in Prince Edward County. To partner with entities within and without the county to provide the widest range of services to youth and family support. The Mary E. Branch Heritage Center is located across South Main Street from Longwood University's baseball field. It is in a state of serious disrepair and needs to be renovated while it can still be restored. Although we are applying for grants, they are matching grants and the center is in need of financial support from the community also. All donations are tax deductible. The Mary E. Branch Heritage Center has successfully provided and participated in the following activities in the community for 2023 and present: Black History Month Program with Virginia Tech, College Fair with Community Leaders and Colleges which included a seminar on conflict resolution for teens, Juneteenth event with RR Moton Museum in 2023, Participated in the annua Rock the Block Celebration, The Heart of VA Festival, and the PEPS Spring Fling. The first successful | MEBHC Juneteenth Event was held and donation made to FACES local food bank, along with other local fundraisers. MEBC held its first Motown Music Fundraiser in 2023. Our upcoming Motown Music Fundraiser will be on October 5, 2024 at the Firemen's Sports Arena in Farmville, VA
